Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is without a doubt the greatest shooter to ever play in the NBA. Time and time again, Curry has proved his worth to his critics, and even though he will turn 34-years-old this year, he is yet to show any signs of slowing down. Well, for the most part.

Steph has been simply sensational this season and even broke the record for the most 3-pointers made in NBA history. But even the best players have a few off nights. Currently, this is the case for the 3-time NBA champion. Over the last few games. Curry has been going through a shooting slump.

This is quite surprising as fans have never seen him struggle to shoot the ball in his entire career. Sure, there have been a few games where he has underperformed, but this is the first time he has truly hit a shooting slump during his time in the NBA.

Of course, it has led to many fans worrying about Curry and how it will impact the Warriors’ season as a whole. Being the best player on the team, the Dubs rely a lot on Curry and he has always lived up to the expectations. Keeping that in mind, his long-time teammate Draymond Green has given reassurance to Warriors fans. In an interview, Green said:

“He’s been missing some the past few games, but no worries. There’s probably a 10-for-14 coming soon. So, it’s all good.”

While Green’s comments might give some sort of hope to fans, the numbers do not lie. Over the past five games, Steph has been averaging an abysmal 31.4% from the field and 29.5% from the three-point line.

It is shocking to see these performances from Curry as he was making a case to win the third regular-season MVP of his career. But if he continues performing like that, his name might fall below the top 5 contenders to bag the MVP award.

One good thing for the Warriors is the fact that they are still at the top of the Western Conference. Having the tied best record in the league will allow Curry to not rush into things and make a steady comeback to the top of his game.
