The Golden State Warriors are currently 29-7, and there’s no doubt that they have been the team to beat in the Western Conference. Stephen Curry is widely viewed as an MVP candidate, and they have a great supporting cast which includes Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole, and Draymond Green.

Despite their current success, a lot of people doubted that they could reach this level, especially after they missed the playoffs just last season, with the same core players. However, they have clearly proved people wrong, and it’s obvious that their offseason additions like Otto Porter Jr. and Gary Payton have provided an impact and improvement from players like Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole has been crucial as well.

With that being said, even Draymond Green was surprised at how good the Warriors are. He recently revealed that he didn’t think the Warriors would be “this good”, especially during the early part of the season.

The Golden State Warriors being back to contending ways is good for the league. Stephen Curry is widely viewed as the most entertaining player in the league. Even Nikola Jokic, last year’s MVP, claimed that Curry is the most impressive player in the NBA. It will certainly be good to see Curry make it back to the playoffs, especially after two seasons of him watching from the sidelines as other teams made the postseason.

The Golden State Warriors will aim to keep their position as the No. 1 seed going forward. They could potentially get even better when Klay Thompson and James Wiseman return from their respective injury layoffs. Adding another shooter and a lob threat to this current team will make them even more elite on the offensive end. They definitely have a solid chance of winning the 2021-22 NBA championship, and perhaps we’ll even see Stephen Curry get his first Finals MVP this year.
