Draymond Green On Women Athletes: “Really Tired Of Seeing Them Complain About The Lack Of Pay…”

2 Min Read

Draymond Green is all about seeing women get paid the same as their male counterparts — he’s just tired of hearing them complain about it.

In a chat with TMZ, the Warriors star spoke a bit on the subject of women’s sports, and how they need to take real steps to promote change instead of just whining about it to the media.

“I’m really tired of seeing [female athletes] complain about the lack of pay” and continuing to comment “They’re not laying out steps that they can take to change [the pay disparity].

Because the people that can change it, they’re just going to continue to say, ‘Well, the revenue isn’t there. The revenue isn’t there. So, if you don’t bring in the revenue, we can’t up your pay.’ They’re going to keep using that.”

According to TMZ, Draymond wants to see female athletes come together to really market their field and brand. He wants to see them hold influencers and advertisers accountable for bringing more eyes to their sport.

Essentially, Green wants to solve the monetary discrepancies between men’s and women’s sports so that, eventually, women can get paid on an equal level to them as well.

But for that to happen, action really needs to take place.
