Draymond Green has been one of the most vocal players in the NBA for quite a few years. Green has made it clear that he will not take criticism lightly.

On top of that, he has been one of the more enterprising NBA players, making efforts to venture into the media world with his own podcast, and working alongside LeBron James and his team on their production company. And Green has revealed he just passed up on a massive venture.

In his recent podcast episode, Draymond Green addressed the comments Chris Russo made about him on First Take. Green first slammed Russo for his comments

But afterward, he revealed that he passed up on an opportunity to be a contributor on First Take before he signed his contract with Warner Media and TNT to appear on Inside The NBA.

He told Russo that he should be happy about the fact that he never took the job offer, which allowed Russo to get the spot on First Take (2:52 onwards).

“I also proceeded to say it’s time for you to sit on your couch and thank the good lord I didn’t want his job, I meant that from the bottom of my heart. Before I signed with Turner, I was actually offered a spot on First Take. There’s your backstory. When I speak, I speak from the heart, when I speak, know it’s real and thoughtful. More importantly, it’s truthful.”

Green has found a lot of success in his media ventures, with his podcast being one of the most popular podcasts among basketball players. Green has shown his basketball intelligence through the incredibly insightful breakdowns of his games right after he finishes playing.

Draymond Green’s relationship with Warner Media will improve as time goes on and he works with them. Green made regular appearances on Inside The NBA over the last few seasons because he missed the playoffs. But the Warriors are still embroiled in a close playoff series with Memphis, so Green will be focused on that entirely.
