Draymond Green is not a man who will ever hold his tongue when in an argument with someone. Green is one of the fiercest trash-talkers in the modern NBA, whether on the court, in the locker room, or in the media. Green speaks his mind as freely as he can, which creates entertainment for the fans but ruffles the feathers of the people he is talking about.

The latest Draymond rivalry is with ESPN analyst and former player Kendrick Perkins. Green has repeatedly called Perkins a clown, first doing it in May during the Playoffs and then again after the NBA Finals wrapped up earlier this month. Green has also called Perkins an ogre before, while also claiming he is the one making Perk relevant

Green has gone in on Perkins again in his latest podcast episode, also talking about analysts like Skip Bayless.

“Kendrick Perkins, you act like this clown (Skip Bayless) and it is baffling to me because he could never be you. Do you know why he could never be you? Because he has never done it. You go around acting like him. You don’t have to do that buddy, you played. You did it, go talk about it. Or can you not? I hope that you can. With all these hot takes you make, you should be able to. You don’t have to act like that man. You went from being an enforcer to coon, how does that happen? At least you acted like an enforcer, I never took you for one.”

Ouch. Green didn’t hold any punches in that exchange, dismissing Perkins’s reputation as a player of being a hard-nosed enforcer, something even old Perkins teammates like Kevin Durant has questioned in the past. This is very clearly getting more personal than people had anticipated.

Perkins is bound to respond, and it will be very interesting to see what he has to say after Green’s hurtful comments.
