Kendrick Perkins may be out of the NBA, but he’s still going toe-to-toe with some of his former colleagues. The former NBA big man and current ESPN analyst has recently criticized the Golden State Warriors’ brash talking defender, Draymond Green, on his Game 5 performance.

Draymond wasn’t pleased with Perkins’ chatter about him. So, he decided to clap back with a few words of his own:

“I saw somebody say I’m scared to shoot the basketball,” said Green on Perk. “Scared and me in the same sentence… a big ogre on TV talking about what Draymond say ain’t the gospel. It is the gospel. What I say is the gospel,” Draymond said. “When you say that multiple times on several different segments, you must think what I say the gospel. So, you know, you gotta come out and shut some guys up sometimes. These are people who get employed on TV to talk about our game… You make that pass, I would like to see it. I played against that guy by the way, I’m talking about Kendrick Perkins for those of ya’ll who don’t know.”

Perkins published a video in response, further adding to the budding rivalry. Now, Draymond issued his own reply, calling big Perk a clown after exposing him to the media.

Draymond has never been shy about calling out his critics. As a passionate player with an intense competitive spirit, it’s no surprise he came at Perkins with full strength. Hopefully, it’s over now and he can get back to focusing on the next round of the playoffs.

As for Perkins, nobody can expect him to censor his words or thoughts. He says what he wants to say and doesn’t back down from anyone. No matter how this beef with Draymond plays out, you can bet Perkins will continue to spread his own narrative.
