Draymond Green Says Kevin Durant Is The Best Player In The NBA, Not LeBron James

2 Min Read

Draymond Green and Kevin Durant may not be on the best of terms, but when it comes to naming the NBA’s best current player, Dray holds his former Warriors teammate in very high regard.

In an appearance on “All The Smoke” podcast, he explained why KD should be considered the NBA’s best player.

“We won a Championship, Durant won Finals MVP. He, in my opinion, got the best LeBron that series. Like, Kevin was f—in rocking. And we go on and honestly, that was that moment where Kevin should be the best player in the league because of what he just did to LeBron.”

Since the 2016-17 season, Kevin has averaged more points (at least 28.5), won more Championships, and has beat LeBron twice in head-to-head postseason matchups.

But, to put things in context, Durant was only able to best James after he joined the Warriors, a team that was already established and set up to win long before the veteran forward joined.

Needless to say, both players have a case to be considered the beat in the game. Unfortunately, we won’t get to see them in action this season, but there’s always next year. It’ll be interesting to see how their next battle ensues.
