Draymond Green and Jordan Poole‘s rivalry changed the landscape of the NBA, as the defending champions completely lost their chemistry and their sense of cohesion after their altercation. The two players could not work things out, and eventually, Poole was traded out of the team. And it appears there are still hard feelings about the incident.

On a TikTok for Bleacher Report, Draymond Green was asked to make a starting five with one player from each NBA team that flashed on the screen. Ironically, the Washington Wizards, where Jordan Poole was traded. Green had a sarcastic chuckle, before quipping who was in Washington, and then eventually choosing Kyle Kuzma to play the power forward.

“Who’s still on the Washington team? … I’m taking [Kyle Kuzma] at the 4.”

Jordan Poole’s departure was actually a blessing for Draymond Green, as he was able to secure a big-money contract with the Golden State Warriors, a 4-year/$100 million deal. This deal would not have been possible had Jordan Poole stayed on the team. The Warriors clearly chose Green over Jordan Poole.

Draymond Green And Jordan Poole Could Not Coexist Anymore

Draymond Green and Jordan Poole were never able to repair their relationship after the punching incident took place. And while they were able to play together for a short while, it was clear that the chemistry in the team had been affected, and there was virtually no trust between the two cornerstones.

Jordan Poole had provoked Green during practice, by making some unwelcome comments about Green’s finances. While violence is never the answer, especially in a team scenario, Green did not do anything unprovoked just out of spite.

Poole will get the chance to be the central piece for a team, as he plays for the Wizards next year. Poole averaged 20.4 points last season, and his point totals will only increase now that he is the first option, rather than a second or a third option.
