Dwyane Wade Says He’d Drop 50 On Stephen A. Smith After Seeing His College Basketball Photo

2 Min Read

Stephen A. Smith is best known for his basketball analysis, but one of the reasons that he actually knows a lot about the sport is because he is a former hooper himself. He played for Winston-Salem State University during his college years, and it is obvious that his love for the sport has remained throughout the years.

Recently, the Twitter page Random College Athletes posted a photo of Smith in his college hooper days. Dwyane Wade shared the photo, with some banter towards Stephen A.

Dwyane Wade is obviously playing around, saying that he’d drop 50 points on Smith, while effectively ending the game by the fourth quarter. It would make sense that a future Hall of Famer would have beat a regular college player, but it’s all just for fun. Stephen A. Smith himself responded:

Stephen A. Smith says he has no comeback and admits that Dwyane Wade is absolutely correct. There is no shame in admitting that a top-tier shooting guard in the all-time rankings would score 50 on you. Stephen A. Smith was certainly a capable college basketball player, as he was on a basketball scholarship during his time in college. But he’s no match for Dwyane Wade himself, and he knew that: the result was a fun interaction between two former basketball players.
