Dwyane Wade’s Son Zaire Signs A Deal With The Jazz’s G-League Affiliate

It’s not unusual to see the sons of NBA players make it to the league as well. More often than not, they fail to live up to the expectations, but we’ve seen cases of guys outplaying their old men as well.

That will be tough but not impossible for Zaire Wade. Dwyane Wade’s son is ready to take a step forward and take his talents to the league after graduating from high school.

According to a report by The Athletic, Zaire has signed a deal with the Salt Lake City Stars, the Utah Jazz’s G-League affiliate:

“Zaire Wade, the son of longtime NBA star Dwyane Wade, is signing a contract with the G League, sources told The Athletic.
Zaire Wade, 19, is expected to join the Utah Jazz’s G League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars. Dwyane Wade became a part-owner of the Jazz in April,” read the report.

Even though you could also say there’s some nepotism due to the fact that Dywane Wade recently became a part-owner of the Jazz, there’s no denying that Zaire is an incredible athlete and that has that competitiveness on his genes.

Zaire was recently spotted giving NBA players buckets in a pick-up game and, albeit not as impactful as his father, you just don’t pass on the opportunity of having a Wade on your team.

Some of Zaire’s more notable teammates during his high school career were Brandon Boston and Ziaire Williams, both drafted by the Clippers and Grizzlies, respectively; as well as his friend Bronny James, LeBron’s elder son.

The Salt Lake City Stars start their season on November 5 so he’ll have plenty of opportunities to showcase his talents and maybe even earn a spot on an NBA roster somewhere down the line. Hopefully, he’ll carry his old man’s torch in the league.
