NBA is by far the most popular basketball league in the world. The credit goes to the tremendous talents of players that put in the work, day in and out. But have you ever wondered, how do the 30 teams in the league rank in popularity on the basis of their YouTube channels? If yes, then today is your lucky day.

Thanks to the efforts of the Reddit u/tempo444y, here are the stats for each NBA team’s YouTube channel as of now.


Atlanta Hawks – 33.9K Subscribers

Starting off with a team housing one of the most talented young players in the league, Trae Young. Despite that, the Hawks are a small/medium market team and do not have that big of a fan following compared to many other teams. 


Boston Celtics – 121K Subscribers

The Boston Celtics are one of the two most successful franchises in the world. They have won 17 NBA championships and created an incredible legacy over the years. As for their presence on YouTube, the channel has posted 605 videos and amassed a fabulous 121K subscribers.


Brooklyn Nets – 44.3K Subscribers

The Nets have risen to a royal status over the last two seasons. The franchise has signed some big names like Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden. So the team’s YouTube channel should see a surge in subscribers count in the future.


Charlotte Hornets – 15.9K Subscribers

The Hornets have handed the keys to the franchise to LaMelo Ball and so far he has shown excellent potential. However, the biggest attraction for the team remains their owner, Michael Jordan. Even then, the channel doesn’t have a huge subscriber count on YouTube.


Chicago Bulls – 203K Subscribers

The Chicago Bulls had a tremendous Free Agency. They have signed a few big names and are looking like a top contender to at least make it to the postseason. Moreover, the team has an excellent presence on YouTube with 203K subscribers as of now.

Ever since the departure of LeBron James, the Cleveland Cavaliers’ glory days have long been lost. They are currently rebuilding and hoping to get to the top of the NBA soon. Just like their league aspirations, the team’s YouTube channel isn’t that popular with just 23.8K subscribers.


Dallas Mavericks – 95K Subscribers

The Dallas Mavericks were expected to rebuild for a few seasons, but they found a gem in Luka Doncic. The European superstar has emerged as a great talent and a player who will be in the MVP debate for years to come. Due to this, the Mavericks have nearly 100K subscribers on their YouTube channel.


Denver Nuggets – 52.2K Subscribers

Just like the Mavericks, the Denver Nuggets have a European star leading the team. Due to the incredible talent of Nikola Jokic, the Nuggets are one of the top teams in their conference. However, their YouTube channel has just a bit more than 50K subs.

Golden State Warriors – 1.14M Subscribers

After a rough couple of seasons, the Dubs are expected to hit the ground running this season. As for their stats for the team’s YouTube channel, they sit comfortably at the top with 1.14 million subscribers! The immense popularity of Stephen Curry must have played a huge role in it.

The Rockets’ era of dominance might be over in the NBA, but the team is still doing pretty well on YouTube. Despite losing James Harden to the Nets, the organization has a respectable 88.7K subscribers on YouTube.

The Pacers are one of the most active teams on YouTube. They have uploaded nearly 2500 videos on the channel. But their efforts haven’t produced a satisfying result as they have less than 20K subscribers.

The Miami Heat marketing team knows what they are doing for sure. The team’s YouTube channel has uploaded the least number of videos among the 30 NBA teams, yet still has 138K subscribers on YouTube.


Milwaukee Bucks – 338K Subscribers

The Milwaukee Bucks are the third most popular team on YouTube, as per the subscriber count. Of course, the popularity of Giannis Antetokounmpo plays a huge role here, but the franchise is also the 2021 NBA champions. So winning the league helped the team in gaining a lot of subscribers.


Minnesota Timberwolves – 47.5K Subscribers

Oklahoma City Thunder – 93.2K Subscribers

The Orlando Magic are dead-last in terms of subscriber count on YouTube. They have just 13.8K subs on their channel, despite uploading over 1100 videos on YouTube.

The Sixers are quite active in uploading new videos on YouTube. However, they still have just a little more than 50K subscribers to their name on YouTube. Maybe, it will change if they succeed to win the NBA title?

Toronto Raptors – 140K Subscribers

The Raptors are the most active team on YouTube. They have posted over 8500 videos on their channel! however, as far as their subscriber count is concerned, they are yet to reach the 150K club.


Utah Jazz – 54.9K Subscribers

Last season, the Utah Jazz surprised everyone with their excellent performances in the regular season. Due to that, the team gained a good subscriber count on its YouTube channel, which stands at 54.9K subs as of now.


Washington Wizards – 51.3K Subscribers

Bradley Beal has worn the tag for being one of the most underrated players in the league in the past. But last season, Beal’s popularity hiked as he went on a scoring spree. His efforts resulted in increasing the popularity of the Wizards too. The team currently has 51.3K subs and must be hoping to reach 100K in the future.
