Damian Lillard and Anfernee Simons have created a big brother-little brother kind of relationship during their time together with the Portland Trail Blazers. Lillard has become a mentor for Simons and their bond is one of the deepest around the NBA. That’s why Lillard was so shocked when he found out Simons had a girlfriend and hadn’t told him about it.
Well, at least that’s what Dame believed. During an Instagram Live, Lillard talked with Simons about one girl that was with him in Santa Barbara. Anfernee introduced the girl to Lillard and he couldn’t help but took offense to it. He was 100% sure he didn’t know about this girl and started roasting Simons. It was a hilarious exchange between them, with Lillard asking the 21-year-old why he kept this secret for so long.

Dame to the girl: You from Santa Barbara? What’s your name?
Bre: I’m Bre. I’m from Houston.
Dame: Oh, you from Houston– oh you did tell me about Bre!
Anfernee: -nods happily-
Dame: Oh okay. H-Town! Okay. So you uhh.. okay so now you spendin’ a lil’ bit of money, you done flew her out. -bust out laughing-

Dame wanted some explanation and he got it. He didn’t miss the chance to diss Simons with a hilarious comment that made everybody laugh. These two have developed a good relationship and this sequence shows how close they’ve become since they became teammates.
