Scottie Pippen’s ex-wife and The Real Housewives of Miami star Larsa Pippen made headlines recently, but not for reasons she’d want. A rumor spread like wildfire about Pippen being spotted on a date with Dennis Rodman’s son, DJ Rodman, and comedian Lance Woods roasted her for it on Instagram.
“We gonna start calling her Ya Ya Mayweather, cuz she stay with the NBA Youngboy,” Woods said. “It’s so many, I’m losing count at this point. And a lot of them be Scottie Pippen’s old teammates’ kids. She got pickup lines like, ‘I remember you when you was a little boy. I used to babysit you.'”
Pippen was previously in a relationship with Michael Jordan’s youngest son, Marcus Jordan. Woods trolled her for dating the children of her ex-husband’s former Chicago Bulls teammates, but the 51-year-old denied any involvement with Rodman in a comment on the post.
“Totally fake.”
This isn’t the first time that such a fake report has gone viral. Previously, a parody account claimed that Pippen had a crush on Bronny James, and even former NFL star Antonio Brown fell for it.
It’s a shame that Pippen’s name has been dragged through the mud because of fake rumors. There is good reason to believe she’s speaking the truth here as well, as she is actually in a relationship at the moment.
TMZ reported in early April that Pippen had been in a relationship with former basketball player Jeff Coby since early 2025. They had crossed paths at the 10th anniversary bash for David Alexander’s DBC fitness gym in Miami in January. Alexander is said to be the one who played matchmaker.
Pippen and Coby had kept their relationship under wraps, but made their red carpet debut on April 16 when they attended the premiere of The Accountant 2 in Los Angeles. All seems to be well between the couple at the moment.
Coby, who went undrafted in 2017 after playing four seasons at Columbia, had joked back in May about the couple getting married in November 2025. He hasn’t proposed yet, and only time will tell how this situation pans out.
Pippen would be hoping this relationship turns out to be better than the other ones with current/former basketball players. She famously married Scottie back in 1997, and then filed for divorce in 2017. It took a while for it to be finalized, though, as they only officially separated in 2021.
The couple had actually first filed for divorce in 2016, but then reconciled later. During that first separation, though, Pippen briefly dated rapper Future and NBA player Tristan Thompson. She claims to have introduced Thompson, who was playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers at the time, to the Kardashian’s and he would start dating Khloe not long after that.
Pippen then got into an extremely controversial relationship in late 2020 with Malik Beasley, who was playing for the Minnesota Timberwolves at the time. Beasley was married back then, and this relationship would only last about four months.
A relationship like that would probably be the most controversial one anyone would be involved in their life, but that wasn’t the case for Pippen. She was first linked to Jordan in September 2022, but kept denying they were dating in the months that followed.
Jordan and Pippen finally made their relationship official in 2023 and faced a whole lot of criticism. The couple managed to block out the outside noise and kept moving forward.
Cracks formed at some point along the way, though, and they briefly split in February 2024. Pippen and Jordan would reunite on Valentine’s Day, but then parted for good in July. She called him a “great guy” when speaking about the breakup, but added he wasn’t the one for her. Perhaps Coby will be.
As for who Rodman, who went undrafted in 2024, is dating, that’s not clear at the moment. The 24-year-old recently featured for the Charlotte Hornets in the Summer League and looks set to play for the Greensboro Swarm in the G League this upcoming season.
