Fans Can’t Believe How Bad Miami Heat’s Special Court Looks: “Corniest Team In The League”

The Miami Heat's special court for this season has been panned by fans, who are calling the Heat the corniest team in the NBA.

The Miami Heat went in a bold direction for their 2023/24 City edition jerseys and courts. The jersey is very plain but with ‘Heat Culture’ written on it. After the Heat also unveiled a court that matches the jersey, fans decided to mock it thoroughly. The court has a few sentences inscribed onto it, which isn’t helping fans enjoy it.

“Hardest working. Best conditioned. Most professional. Unselfish. Toyghest. Meanest. Nastiest team in the NBA.”

With the Heat’s poor start to the season, fans are already salivating to watch the Heat lose on a court that says all this about them.

Fans joked about the court burning their eyes.

Fans weren’t happy that the Heat are doing all of this, given ‘Heat Culture’ praises would always come from the outside world. The team patting itself on the back wasn’t appreciated.

Even Heat fans weren’t happy about this.

One fan even called the Heat the ‘Miami Cornballs’.

It seems all fans settled on the court being incredibly cringe for Heat standards.

The City edition jerseys have arguably been in the worst place they’ve ever been. Fans have hated most of the designs. Kyle Kuzma discussed the same on social media and we saw fans outwardly roast the Cavaliers’ new jerseys when they were unveiled. Fans aren’t big fans of the uninspired city editions this season.

The Heat have had one of the worst jersey and court combinations they’ve had in a long time. This is the same franchise that gave us the iconic ‘Miami Vice’ jerseys, and going back to something like that may help fans reconnect with the franchise.

The Miami Heat Aren’t Looking Like Reigning NBA Finalists

The Heat won the Eastern Conference last season, making their second Finals appearance in four seasons before losing to the Nuggets. The Heat made a miracle run as the eighth seed to make the Finals, over-performing throughout the playoffs with Jimmy Butler as their leader. But this season hasn’t been as rosy a start for Miami.

The team is 2-4 to open the year, with their only wins coming in a one-point thriller against the Detroit Pistons and a narrow win over the Washington Wizards. Given these are two of the weakest teams in the East, the Heat should be worried. They’ve already dropped games to rivals like the 76ers and are currently the 12th seed in the East.

Their struggles are purely a talent issue, as the Heat lost a lot of players this summer without replacing them. Max Strus and Gabe Vincent walked as free agents, with the Heat conserving space all summer to swing for Damian Lillard. But with Lillard in Milwaukee and Jrue Holiday in Boston, it seems the Trail Blazers have ensured the Heat will have a tough season after leaving them in the cold during offseason trades.

Pat Riley has to take the blame and the Heat will be analyzing the trade market until February to see what he can get for a run over the second half of the season.
