LeBron James led Team USA to their fifth exhibition game win ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics, taking over the fourth quarter of their game against Germany to help Team USA make a comeback and beat the reigning FIBA Champions. Fans are going crazy over LeBron doing this just days after hitting the game-winner to save the USA against South Sudan.

NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes was keeping a close eye on LeBron’s performances.

Former LeBron teammate and fellow 2020 NBA Champion Quinn Cook hailed James as the best player in the world.

Fans joked about how the USA needs to be worried about how they’ll maintain their international domination without LeBron James.

Fans called James ‘LeCloser’ to appreciate his incredible fourth-quarter performance.

There were many jokes about LeBron having to go back to the Lakers after this summer is over.

Some fans believe James’ absurd longevity has cemented his status as the GOAT.

LeBron ended the game with 20 points, six rebounds, and four assists, shooting 8-11 from the field and going a perfect 2-2 from three. He was far and away their best player, but there were solid cameos from other stars as well.

Joel Embiid put up an efficient 15 points, eight rebounds, and five assists while Anthony Edwards put up 11 points off the bench. Stephen Curry struggled with efficiency in his 13-point outing, going 1-7 from three-point range in the contest.

This win has ensured Team USA escapes their exhibition games with a perfect 5-0 record. They were severely tested by their opponents in three of these five games, which is a worrying sign. However, the fact that the USA ensured they won each contest goes to show how much more talented they are than their opponents.

LeBron James Will Be USA’s Flag-Bearer At The Olympics

LeBron James was announced as the flag-bearer for the United States of America at the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony on the river Seine, becoming the first men’s basketball player to receive this honor. LeBron was nominated for the same by Stephen Curry and was voted into the honor by his fellow American Olympians.

James reacted to the news with an emotional message.

“It’s an incredible honor to represent the United States on this global stage, especially in a moment that can bring the whole world together. For a kid from Akron, this responsibility means everything to not only myself but to my family, all the kids in my hometown, my teammates, fellow Olympians and so many people across the country with big aspirations. Sports have the power to bring us all together, and I’m proud to be a part of this important moment.”

James’ recent performances against South Sudan and Germany show that he is still among the best in the world, justifying the decision of the Olympic contingent to vote for him as their flag-bearer. In addition, he’s arguably the most relevant American athlete in the world and would be perfect for an honor like this regardless.
