Fans have been buzzing after Team USA’s dominant performance against Serbia, where they secured a 105-79 victory in an Olympic warm-up game in Abu Dhabi. This game marked the third of five pre-Olympics exhibitions for the U.S. team, and it showcased the squad’s readiness and strength.

Leading the charge for Team USA was Stephen Curry, who delivered a stellar performance with a team-high 24 points, including six three-pointers. Bam Adebayo also made significant contributions, scoring 17 points and grabbing 7 rebounds. The team’s cohesive play and aggressive defense were evident throughout the match.

Initially, the game was tightly contested, with Serbia matching the U.S. team’s intensity. The score was tied at 40 halfway through the second quarter. However, Team USA switched gears and ended the first half on a 19-5 run, which set the tone for the rest of the game.

Unlike their previous match against Australia, where they had to fight hard until the end, the Americans maintained their momentum against Serbia and never looked back.

Anthony Davis also played a pivotal role in the victory. Davis contributed significantly on both ends of the floor, scoring 7 points, securing 6 rebounds, and blocking 6 shots. His defensive presence, particularly his ability to alter and block shots, was crucial in shutting down Serbia’s interior offense. LeBron James had a spectacular dunk but he overall had a quiet game, finishing with 5 points and an assist.

Supporters on social media highlighted the impressive teamwork and the individual brilliance of players like Curry, Adebayo, and Davis. Many noted how Curry’s hot three-point shooting was a game-changer, creating significant separation on the scoreboard. Davis’s defensive prowess was also a major talking point, as they helped solidify the U.S. lead.

The Serbian team, led by Nikola Jokic, struggled to keep up after the initial surge by Team USA. Despite Jokic’s efforts and contributions from Aleksa Avramovic, Serbia could not match the intensity and skill level of the American side. The U.S. team’s superior shooting accuracy, especially from beyond the arc, and their defensive pressure proved too much for Serbia to handle.

This victory has set a high expectation for Team USA as they prepare to face Serbia again in their opening game of the Paris Olympics on July 28. Fans are excited and optimistic about the team’s prospects, believing that this blend of experienced superstars and promising talents can bring home the gold.

The dominant win not only reassures the supporters but also sends a strong message to other competing nations. Team USA appears well-prepared and determined to reclaim their position at the top of international basketball, and this performance against a strong Serbian team is a testament to their readiness and potential.
