• Former UFC Middleweight Contender Chael Sonnen has sent out a cryptic tweet about steroid use relating to Bronny James

• Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest while training with the USC Trojans on Monday

• Sonnen has previously levied steroid use accusations against LeBron James

The news of Bronny James’ cardiac arrest is permeating throughout the sports world, with good wishes being sent to the James family from fans and athletes alike. But some mudslinging was bound to happen when the James name is involved.

Former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen sent out a cryptic tweet detailing the link between the use of EPO, a steroid, and cardiac arrest, implying a connection to Bronny James.

“If you do not properly monitor, your EPO use you can experience cardiac arrest and die in your sleep. If you do not properly monitor your EPO use, and you go into cardiac arrest in front of other people there is a good chance somebody will get you help in time and you will survive. If you monitor your EPO use, but you combine it with testosterone you have a whole other set of problems in front of you. Hoping we can chalk this up to ‘lesson learned.'”

Sonnen has previously detailed why he thinks LeBron James uses EPO, alleging he’s heard it within certain circles. As an open steroid user, Sonnen claims he knows James is also using it because they have the same dealer. With his latest tweet, Sonnen is making a pretty dark inference about Bronny also using the drug with no proof outside his previous allegations towards LeBron.

Bronny James’ Status Looks Positive

From all the preliminary reports, it seems the James family is positive about their son’s condition. Naturally, this is all speculation, as the family has not addressed the media at all during this time of crisis. The cause is still unclear and will likely be similar to cases of young athletes suffering from cardiac arrest. One of his USC teammates went through the same last season and managed to return to the court before the end of the season.

His NBA Draft hopes will be in serious jeopardy, as teams will be cautious regarding his medical status while evaluating prospects. He was a projected first-round pick, but his Draft status will remain unclear till the end of the season. Hopefully, he can return to the court soon and fulfill his NBA dream.
