When Kyrie Irving handed in a trade request to the Brooklyn Nets, it seemed like the stars had aligned for the Los Angeles Lakers. Their front office had resisted trading their 2 first-round draft picks as they were waiting for a move that would make them a championship contender, and getting Kyrie would certainly make them one.

Unfortunately, it wasn't to be, as Irving ended up being traded to the Dallas Mavericks. The Lakers had reportedly offered both their picks along with Russell Westbrook, but the Nets wanted their young players and some pick swaps as well, so no deal was reached.

One can only wonder how LeBron James, who desperately wanted Irving on the Lakers, would have reacted to this news. Well, RDCworld1 put out a video on YouTube on just that, and it has quickly gone viral, with over 1 million views in 11 hours.

NBA fans found it to be absolutely hilarious and reacted to it.

"Marks depiction of LeBron slow mental decline with his teammates is gold. He really been stressin since 2016😂"

"The Kneeling had me DEAD 💀 I know for a fact when he saw it he said 'awh yeah we def about to use this on our next skit of Lebron' 😂😭"

"‘I just don't wanna play with you’

Mark's whispering Kyrie voice slays me 🤣"

"As a Mavs fan, this puts a smile and a scared smile on my face"

"This skit funny as hell, but as a Mavs fan, in the back of my head I can't help but be concerned for my team's future 😂😅"

"This is already classic. Never knew this channel could actually influence real players. The Kyrie whispering made it so real on so many levels."

"LeBron’s desperation in these skits never cease to make us laugh. 😂"

"Kneeling on the ground reliving that moment with that bogus missed call during the Celtics game 😭😭😭"

"😂😂😂 I laughed so hard everytime he yelled Kyrie name, and not just in this video but in other videos as well. So hilarious. I can see Lebron acting like this in real life because I think he was hoping Kyrie come to the same team as him."

"The whispers, KyRIE I CAN'T HEAR YOU, the phone slam and the Lebron drop to his knees is perfectly hilarious"

"Kyrie really got Lebron going through the 5 stages of grief 😭"

"The fact that I can actually picture Lebron screaming Kyrie name like that when he answered the phone has me lmao nonstop right now"

"His impersonation of LeBron is priceless 😂!!"

"Love these LeBron videos!! Never fails to make me laugh!"

"His Kyrie impression gets me in tears everytime"

"JJK wallpaper on top of Tristan’s entrance and Kyrie asking Luka to pass make this a masterpiece like usual 😂"

"The moment brown first yelled kyrie already had me dying 😂"

"Mark depiction of Kyrie, is the funniest part of all this 😂"

"LeBron be going through it in these sketches. 😂😂😂"

"Mark got the LeBron rage tantrum down so well I love it😂"

It really was funny, and LeBron was probably raging when he heard the news. Trading for Kyrie was the only way this team was going to seriously contend for a championship this season, as it is hard to see any other big deal being on the table before the deadline. It would seem, though, that LeBron's frustrations should be aimed at Nets owner Joe Tsai.

Joe Tsai Did Not Want To Send Kyrie Irving To His Preferred Destination

The Nets' asking price there for the Lakers did seem quite high. Two first-round picks, young players, and pick swaps are quite a demand, and it turns out the Nets never really wanted to trade Kyrie to the Lakers. NBA insider Marc Stein reported that the Nets fulfilled one of Tsai's objectives by not trading Kyrie to the Lakers, his preferred destination.

That wouldn't be too much of a surprise, considering how relations between the Nets and Kyrie had deteriorated following the controversy at the start of the season. They didn't want things to go completely his way, and unfortunately, the Lakers ended up missing out on their target because of it.
