28-year-old Giannis Antetokoumpo is already one of the NBA’s all-time great players, and there is no question that his presence alone elevates the Bucks from average to legitimate title contender.

So with the past already set for the Greek Freak, what can we expect for his future? Well, as the recently explained on CBS, his future starts and ends in Milwaukee, where he is content with spending the remainder of his NBA life.

“I wear my heart on my sleeve and I really appreciate the people who gave me an opportunity to change my life, my parent’s life, my kid’s lives,” said Giannis. “The first time I was able to leave and join another team, I chose to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks because they chose me, they helped guide me through this process when I was 18 years old. I don’t take that for granted. As long as I’m healthy and as long as they want me to be a part of the Milwaukee Bucks organization, I would love to stay there.”

Loyalty is a dying virtue in today’s NBA, but Giannis is one of the few who still upholds it as a part of his mentality. Despite opportunities to join superteams or play for a bigger market, Giannis has stayed with the Bucks because they were the first ones to believe in him when it mattered the most.

Now, he’s on the cusp of leading them to another championship as one of the faces of the sport.

Can Giannis Get The Bucks Another Championship?

The path to a title is never easy, especially this season. The Celtics, 76ers, and Cleveland Cavaliers all pose a legitimate threat to Giannis’ crew and any one of them could be the ones to make it to the NBA Finals this year.

Still, the Bucks have to be feeling good about where they stand at this point in the season. Even after a huge blowout loss to the Celtics, Giannis finds himself in a position to make another long playoff run.

“Man, that feeling. That feeling was a great feeling,” Giannis said via The Athletic, recalling his 2020 championship. “That feeling was one of the best feelings I’ve had, and I’m not even going to say what I’m thinking because it’s probably gonna go viral. Man, I’m sorry, man. I’m sorry, but it’s better than getting intimate. You know what I mean? Man, what?! (laughs at himself). You know, I love my wife-to-be-soon. I love my kids.”

Only time will tell us if Giannis ends his career as a 2x champion (or more), but Giannis’ loyalty and commitment have given the Bucks a comfortable window to increase the odds before it’s all said and done.
