Golden State Warriors Win, Now They Await The Los Angeles Lakers For A Potential Play-In Game

2 Min Read

The latest Golden State Warriors game against the Memphis Grizzlies had massive ramifications on the future of each team’s playoff run. Both teams were tied with a 38-33 record, and the winner of the game was going to become the eighth seed. Having the 8th seed allows for the potential of only playing one game to enter the playoffs. The Golden State Warriors were the winners of the game, beating out the Memphis Grizzlies 113-101.

There are two potential matchups for the Golden State Warriors in the play-in game. Depending on the result of the Portland Trail Blazers- Denver Nuggets game, the Warriors will need to face either the Portland Trail Blazers or the Los Angeles Lakers. Of course, a potential Warriors-Trail Blazers play-in game would have two top point guards face off in Damian Lillard and Stephen Curry. However, there is a large contingent of fans who would prefer to see Stephen Curry face off against LeBron James in a Lakers-Warriors game.

A game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors would certainly be a box office occasion. You have LeBron James and Anthony Davis, facing off against Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins. The star power would certainly not be lacking, and social media would explode no matter who won the game.

This is a good win for Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors heading into their play-in game. Let’s get this straight: any time Stephen Curry plays is a box office occasion. However, Stephen Curry facing off against LeBron James in a winner takes all game would be potentially the best singular game of the season.
