Goran Dragic had the chance to play with the Brooklyn Nets in the 2021-22 NBA season, only appearing in 16 games and posting poor numbers. The veteran point guard’s career took a wrong turn after he left the Miami Heat.
Now, he’s part of the Milwaukee Bucks after leaving the Chicago Bulls. Still, he doesn’t forget about his time with the Nets and recently threw shade at them.
“I mean it’s part of the business,” Goran Dragic said about playing with the Milwaukee Bucks, via Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. ”I know I’m not young anymore. I could have re-signed with Brooklyn, but I didn’t want to be in that situation, because it was a little bit crazy. I just tried to find a team that’s calmer and to be more stable. I thought that would be with Chicago.”
As the years went by, he went from being a crucial part of the Heat and helping them reach the 2020 NBA Finals to having a lesser role on the Nets, then the Bulls, and now on the Bucks.
Milwaukee has a good chance to win it all this season, and the veteran will try to help them in any possible way. The Bucks know what it takes to win in the league, and they won’t rest until they recover the championship they lost last season.
Goran Dragic Was Never Happy On The Nets
The Slovenian player never really had a good time on the Nets, and he called out Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving while discussing his time at Barclays Center. This wasn’t easy for anybody, but Dragic was quickly tired of all the extra stuff
In 16 games with the Brooklynites, Dragic averaged 7.3 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.2 rebounds per game.
His tenure on the Bulls wasn’t easy, either, and he even criticized his teammates for not putting in the effort.
The Bucks are a different franchise, and he’s seeing that. Dragic will be ready to help his team however he can and complete the task he couldn’t complete three years ago in the infamous Orlando bubble.
