LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are still considered the biggest favorites to win the NBA championship this season but some teams like the Los Angeles Clippers, Utah Jazz and Philadelphia 76ers are having great campaigns, too, which means the purple and gold could have more competition than expected while defending their title.

Moreover, there is one team that almost everybody is calling the biggest threat to the Lakers, the Brooklyn Nets, especially after they traded for James Harden a couple of weeks ago. The Beard landed in Brooklyn hungry to win and even though their defense is practically non-existent, the Nets are a very dangerous team for the rest of the league.

Having three great players on the roster surely makes them a threat, and one NBA fan claimed that if LeBron manages to beat Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and the aforementioned Harden, he would become the undisputed NBA GOAT.

Of course, that sparked a debate, with most fans actually disagreeing with that statement. Some said he had help in Anthony Davis while others mentioned LeBron’s past moves and past failures as the reason why he’ll never be the GOAT.

LeBron is one of the best players in NBA history and every year his legend gets a lot bigger. He can take down another Big 3 to win his 5th NBA championship but plenty of fans aren’t convinced that will be enough for him to be considered the greatest to ever do it.
