Isaiah Thomas has struggled to make it back into the NBA over the last few years. Once a promising young guard who defied expectations to become an incredible player, Thomas has fallen off a great deal over the years, and even lost his place in the NBA.

But Thomas knows that he will be back in the league one day, and pointed to the praise he has gotten from greats in the world like Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, Tom Brady, and even Nipsey Hussle. He took to Twitter to share the compliments they gave him and said that he would be back where he belongs sooner rather than later.

Ai called me a REAL KILLA, Kobe gave me the nickname Mighty IT, Nip Hussle said I was lion hearted, Tom Brady called me a GREAT!!! I’m stamped by the greatest athletes ever….. It’s only a matter of time!!! I’ll be ready when it comes back around

It has been a rough couple of years for Isaiah Thomas. He was an All-Star during his time with the Celtics, despite his short stature. But when the Celtics acquired Kyrie Irving, he was deemed surplus to requirements, and they traded him away to the Cavaliers to make the package more attractive.

IT didn’t work out for Cleveland, and thus began Thomas’ descent, where he bounced around from teams in the league like Sacramento, Los Angeles, Denver, Washington, and New Orleans, while even spending periods outside of the NBA.

He looked like he would make it back to the league this offseason, as the Los Angeles Lakers were considering signing him, but gave up on that pursuit once they secured Rajon Rondo to play back-up point guard on their team. Thomas is yet to sign a new contract with an NBA team but is not giving up hope for making it back to the NBA.
