Isaiah Thomas has received a new opportunity in the NBA on a team with a lot of young players that could use a veteran for the rest of the season. The point guard had two stints this season, first with the Los Angeles Lakers and then the Dallas Mavericks.

Unfortunately, he didn’t make the cut and returned to the G League, where he kept torching people. While playing for the Denver Nuggets’ affiliate, Thomas posted incredible numbers, drawing a lot of attention from around the league.

The Hornets were one of those teams and didn’t hesitate to bring the former MVP candidate to their ranks. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Thomas has signed a 10-day deal with Michael Jordan’s team.

He joins the likes of LaMelo Ball, Miles Bridges and co., trying to help them secure a playoff berth this campaign. Of course, that will depend on his performance and if the team decides to keep him for the rest of the season.

Thomas was one of the best players in the league at some point in the 2010s. He’s tried to come back and have a similar impact to what he had during his Boston Celtics day. Hopefully, this means he’ll stay in the league for good, but time will tell how this situation unfolds.
