Jabari Parker Was Spotted Playing Tennis Without A Mask After Positive COVID-19 Test

Sacramento Kings’ forward Jabari Parker raised a lot of eyebrows in recent hours after he was seen playing tennis without wearing a mask. The mask is an item everybody has to wear right now, especially Parker, who tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week. Parker was playing at Longfellow Park in Chicago on Saturday, TMZ Sports reported.

“Several days ago I tested positive for COVID-19 and immediately self-isolated in Chicago which is where I remain,” Parker said in a statement released Wednesday. “I am progressing in my recovery and feeling well. I look forward to joining my teammates in Orlando as we return to the court for the resumption of the NBA season.”

Parker was one of three Kings to test positive for coronavirus. Alex Len and Buddy Hield reportedly contracted the virus, as well.

Of course, this news didn’t please anybody and plenty of people went to criticize the former No. 2 overall pick. The Kings are one of the teams heading to Orlando next month to play in the bubble location for the NBA restart. They need all their pieces to fight for a playoff spot, Parker included.

Seeing all the reactions to his behavior, Parker broke his silence and clarify he was following the rules, social distancing from everyone around him, according to Ben Stinar of the Big Lead.

Wearing a mask is very important right now, as well as social distancing. Maybe Parker will do both next time he goes out to play tennis or do any other activity.
