Jamal Murray Roasts Nick Wright: “You Sound Like A Fool…”

Denver Stiffs

For whatever reason, FOX Sports analyst Nick Wright has made it a mission of his to flame the Denver Nuggets.

In a recent segment on First Things First, Wright boldly exclaimed that Nikola Jokic would be the worst MVP winner in the last 35 years, prompting a hailstorm of criticism from the community, including Jamal Murray and Nikola Vucevic.

But that wasn’t the end of it. Wright would later respond to the criticism, telling fans on a live session that even talking about the Nuggets does not generate many views.

That’s a pretty harsh statement and one that many would disagree with.

On Twitter, Murray once again took a jab at Wright, telling him that his latest take makes him look like a fool.

Just quit bruh u sound more of a fool than u did the day before https://t.co/lT0xCm7eHJ

In a way, Wright isn’t exactly wrong. The Nuggets don’t hold nearly as much interest with the fans as teams like the Lakers, Clippers, Mavericks, and even the Warriors.

It’s no indictment to them, but it’s no secret that bigger markets tend to attract much more attention.

Still, it doesn’t mean that the Nuggets aren’t worth talking about. What they’ve been able to do this season deserves a ton of credit and recognition, and it’s clear that the franchise will be a threat for years to come.

As for what we can expect from them this season, well, that much remains to be seen. Even without Murray, though, Jokic and the Nuggets can go far, and nobody (besides Wright, that is) is taking them lightly.
