The Cleveland Cavaliers have been one of the most surprising teams this season. They have a nice mix of solid young players and savvy veterans and are currently the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference.

Center Jarrett Allen has been a key part of the Cavaliers’ resurgence this season. Allen is currently averaging 16.1 PPG, 10.9 RPG, and 1.8 APG this season while shooting 68.0% from the field. He is having an amazing season, and he has definitely blossomed into being an amazing center that can contribute on both ends of the floor.

Jarrett Allen has recently expressed his desire to be part of the All-Star game. The All-Star starters for the 2022 All-Star game in Cleveland have already been revealed, so all that’s left is the reserves. Jarrett Allen claimed that he knew point guard Darius Garland would be an All-Star, and added that he’s crossing his fingers for an All-Star selection.

I know Darius Garland is. I’m crossing my fingers that I get selected. If you see the results that Darius is putting up, he’s basically been leading our team to where we are right now. He’s taking the next step as our point guard.

For me to play in front of the fans, I know they’re going to be loud. They’re going to be there in numbers, the whole city is going to be cheering me on.

It is clear that Jarrett Allen deserves to be selected as an All-Star. However, there are definitely other deserving candidates in the Eastern Conference, so we’ll see if that ends up happening. Jarrett Allen obviously wants the opportunity to play in front of Cavaliers fans in Cleveland, and hopefully, he gets the nod.

Hopefully, we see the Cleveland Cavaliers continue this level of play for the rest of the season. It’ll be interesting to see how well they do in the playoffs, as much of the team doesn’t have playoff experience. Regardless, they’re an extremely fun team that is tough and defensive-minded, and they could definitely provide a challenging matchup for other contenders.
