You don’t have to be a basketball savant to know that the Boston Celtics have been one of the most disappointing teams in the NBA this season. They entered the year with a strong and promising young core, yet they can’t seem to find consistency.

Some people believe that they will move on from several of his players, including Kemba Walker and Marcus Smart, and that even coach Brad Stevens could be on the hot seat depending on the outcome of this season.

Whether that’s true or not, the certain thing is that the team’s morale seems to be at an all-time low right now, especially judging from Jaylen Brown’s most recent interview following their loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

A reporter asked Brown about the team’s struggles and whether it had to do with the new players adapting to different roles, and he was simply lost for words. His frustration was evident and he didn’t even know what to say.

“I don’t know what you guys want me to say to be honest,” Brown simply replied.

The Celtics are currently sitting at a 23-25 record and hold the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference. Moreover, they’ve dropped 7 of their past 10 games and are just 10-16 away from the TD Garden.

Boston couldn’t make a splash on the buyout market either and struck out on both LaMarcus Aldridge and Andre Drummond, so it’s not like their struggles could be fixed before the end of the season. Hopefully, tho, they’ll turn things around in time for the playoffs, assuming they make that stage.
