Jimmy Butler Warns Former Teammate Goran Dragic: “I Want To Foul The S— Out Of Him”

2 Min Read

Jimmy Butler is a tough guy. He’s not the person you want to be enemies with, especially when you’re on a basketball court.

That means bad news for Goran Dragic, who recently joined the Toronto Raptors via sign-and-trade, and that could be in for some physical punishment the next time he plays the Miami Heat.

According to Butler, he can’t wait to face the Slovenian to “foul the sh–t out of him” and even get called for a flagrant one:

“I want to foul the s— out of Goran,” Butler said, as quoted by Heat Nation. “I’m not going to dunk. But oh my gosh. Yeah, flagrant one. I don’t get thrown out. Flagrant one. Oh, you damn right.
That’s my guy. Then I’m going to text him, ‘I told your a– I was going to get you.’”

Clearly, Butler’s joking as they grew pretty close during their time as teammates. That’s just the way he shows how much he cares.

In fact, this isn’t the first time that Jimmy threatens Dragic. Last year, he said that he was going to get physical with him if he didn’t re-sign with the Miami Heat:

“Jimmy’s a tough guy. … I didn’t want him chasing my ass,” Dragic said back then.

Even so, there’s a chance that Dragic doesn’t play when the Raptors and Heat meet next season. He’s not a part of the teams’ plans long-term and they may trade him or even buy him out as soon as they can.

Dragic is reportedly interested in signing with the Dallas Mavericks to play with his compatriot Luka Doncic, while the Raptors are expected to go through a bit of a rebuild.

That means that he’ll only get to see Butler a couple of times a year, so maybe he can just load manage during those games to avoid some serious pain.
