Karl-Anthony Towns Caught Liking ‘Free KAT’ Tweet

3 Min Read

After a promising start to the season, the Minnesota Timberwolves crashed back to reality, as they’re struggling to get the results in the Western Conference. Minnesota started the season with a 3-1 record, including an upset win over the defending champions Milwaukee Bucks at Fiserv Forum.

Following that game, things went wrong for this team. They are currently in a three-game losing streak after a 126-115 defeat at home against the Los Angeles Clippers. These past results set the alarms in Minny and now they need to figure things out before they get out of control.

Karl-Anthony Towns showed his frustration with the bad results, saying that three games could become 20 and more

“We’re on a three-game slide right now in the NBA. If I know one thing about slides here in Minnesota, it could go from three to 18 to 19, 20 really quick.”

KAT is not happy with this situation and things could be more serious than we believe for him. The former No. 1 overall pick was caught liking a tweet that read ‘Free KAT,’ which is anything but good news for the T-Wolves.

With all the drama around the league, this is the last thing Minnesota wanted to see from their star. Players are willing to force their ways out of their franchises and KAT could be another number.

In the past, Anthony Davis and James Harden got tired of being in a team that couldn’t compete for the championship. This could be the case for KAT, who has only made the playoff once during his career.

It seems like the Timberwolves are slowly changing their attention to sophomore Anthony Edwards and will wait to see how this player develops to compete in the future. However, Towns has been in the league since 2015 and it’s frustrating he hasn’t competed for anything good.

Perhaps this is the beginning of the end for the Dominican-American player’s tenure in Minny, but it’s too early to say anything. Still, KAT isn’t happy with the team’s current situation and they must turn things around before it’s too late. A win against the Clippers tomorrow could help, but that seems like a big ‘if’ right now.

**UPDATE**

KAT implied his Twitter account was hacked, revealing he changed his password and it’s good now. Yet, fans don’t believe that somebody hacked his account and decided to just like a tweet asking for him to be freed instead of tweeting something else and embarrassing the player. But, hey, NBA figures are experts at saying ‘I got hacked,’ so there you go.
