As the trade deadline gets closer, the Minnesota Timberwolves, Atlanta Hawks, Houston Rockets and Denver Nuggets made a 4-team deal that changed their anatomies considerably.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski revealed the deal, with Houston getting Robert Covington; Atlanta, Clint Capela and Nene; Minnesota, Malik Beasley, Juancho Hernangomez, Evan Turner, ATL 1st round pick via Nets and Denver received Gerald Green, Houston FRP.

Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns wasn’t very pleased with this move by his team, expressing his feeling with a series of IG stories.

KAT has expressed before that Covington was his best friend on Minnesota’s roster, but now they have to take different paths in their careers.

It remains to be seen what’s the next step for his team from now on, as they didn’t get their rumored biggest target, D’Angelo Russell. If somehow D’Lo lands in Minnesota, that would change everything for Towns.
