Stephen A. Smith Thinks Derrick Rose Is A Perfect Fit For The Lakers

1 Min Read

The NBA trade deadline is upon us and several rumors are going around the league. One of the teams that could make a trade are the Los Angeles Lakers, who could be looking to add another point guard and there is a big name linked with the Purple and Gold in recent hours.

Detroit Pistons’ Derrick Rose has had a terrific season with Motor City, and now several rumors place him in Los Angeles, with the Lakers.

Moreover, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith has explained why this move makes sense for the Lakers, yet he admitted the franchise would have to move too much to get him.

Detroit’s asking price for Rose is extremely high as they’re expecting at least a first-round pick in return for arguably their best player this campaign. However, after the Davis trade, the Lakers don’t have very many assets to give and they would have to resort to trading their bench players, as well as a young star like Kyle Kuzma.

That doesn’t seem to be a huge possibility for them, but the trade deadline might come with a surprise that could include D-Rose.
