Kawhi Leonard is arguably the most unintentionally funny player in the NBA. Everyone talks about the time he called himself ‘a fun guy’ and pushed out one of the weirdest laughs we have heard at a press conference, but there are many such Leonard moments where he is one of the funniest players in the NBA.

There is an advertisement from Kawhi’s days in San Antonio where he is talking to Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tony Parker in a British accent and showing off his large hands. In addition, he also was once recorded by Serge Ibaka in a car, and his reaction was to let out an emphatic ‘what it do, baby’ to the camera.

Leonard also had a hilarious moment at the 2020 NBA All-Star game. After being awarded the All-Star Game MVP, Leonard pulled up to the post-game press conference and removed a Gatorade bottle from the table, and bluntly told everyone Gatorade does not sponsor him.

Gatorade is an NBA sponsor, so the league may not have been happy about that. To see Kawhi do this is quite funny because of how bluntly he let everyone know the reason why he is doing it, which was a fair reason that most people could report on rather than delving into think-pieces trying to figure out why Kawhi would do that.

Leonard is heading into a massive season in 2022-23. After spending the entirety of the recent season out with injury, Kawhi will hope to hit the ground running and help the LA Clippers realize their championship dreams.

If Leonard and teammate Paul George can stay healthy through the season, the Clippers are arguably one of the favorites to win the championship. Their health is a major ‘if’, so hopefully, the Clippers can have an all-time great season in their franchise’s history that proves their legitimacy as one of the best teams in the NBA.
