Kawhi Leonard is one of the most enigmatic stars that have ever existed in the NBA. He doesn’t care much for fanfare, and he’s a private person. Kawhi Leonard is a puzzle to many fans as he doesn’t talk to media much, and when he does it ends up being all business. There is no detail that a reporter can pull out of Leonard which he doesn’t allow.

However, Kawhi Leonard decided to buck the trend and come on to Jimmy Kimmel’s live talk show on ABC. Usually, Leonard isn’t one for such engagements, but it seems that something made him change his mind. Leonard covers a variety of topics during his time on the show. One of which is his decision to select the Clippers over the Lakers in free agency last season. On the show, Kawhi Leonard seems to have no regret or doubt over the decision. The segment starts at 3:35.

During the segment, Leonard states that he is happy with going to the Clippers instead of the Lakers. He also compliments their Lakers for their championship-winning season. While Leonard may not be happy that he lost before getting another championship, he certainly doesn’t regret last season’s free agency. On the Clippers, Leonard is the main star, and able to lead his own team. The Clippers traded for his running mate choice of in Paul George. They were a perfect destination for him.

The Clippers may have lost this year, but based on Leonard’s lack of regret over free agency, we can safely assume that he’s going to be a part of their championship efforts again next season. Leonard’s team could come back even better, and Leonard’s choice in Los Angeles could become justified. The Clippers gave Leonard everything he asked for; perhaps Leonard can lead the Clippers in winning a championship next season.
