The Los Angeles Clippers blew a huge lead to the Golden State Warriors in their recent regular-season game. While this regular-season game means nothing in the long run for the Los Angeles Clippers, it was eerily reminiscent of their collapse in the second round against the Denver Nuggets. The Clippers simply need to get better at late-game situations.
Kendrick Perkins was one of the people who criticized how the Los Angeles Clippers capitulated against Stephen Curry. The Clippers seemed dominant for most of the game, swarming Stephen Curry with bodies: but eventually, Stephen Curry found his way into a 38 point, 11 assist night.

The Clippers definitely blew their chance to beat the Warriors. They let Stephen Curry get hot. Paul George also had a fairly rough defensive fourth quarter and had multiple clutch shots hit on him by Andrew Wiggins and Stephen Curry.

Hopefully, the Clippers can get better from this performance. But there are good signs that the team might be figuring it out. Paul George is having a good start to the season, and one game doesn’t define their season. They should figure out how to move the ball more, rather than isolate on a large number of their possessions.
There is no reason to doubt the Clippers in the long run: they have two superstar wing players, who can do everything on the court. But it is a long journey to the Finals, and the Clippers will have to figure out their chemistry along the way.
