Kendrick Perkins Says Phoenix Suns Will Win The NBA Finals: “I’d Bet My House On It.”

The Phoenix Suns are slightly favored to win the NBA Finals against the Milwaukee Bucks, and some believe that it doesn’t have that much to do with Giannis Antetokounmpo’s injury but with their current form.

At first glance, with both teams fully healthy, this would be a bit of a toss-up, a seven-game series without a doubt.

But for Kendrick Perkins, the Suns losing is simply not a possibility, as he recently said on ESPN’s The Jump that he would bet his house on the Suns winning the ring this year:

“This is how much I believe in the Phoenix Suns. I wish you would have told me before we got on the show that you went to Vegas you know yesterday and half of the time because I would have told you to bet my house on it. That’s how much faith I have in the Phoenix Suns right now,” Perkins started.

“Yeah, for the simple fact that they are not lacking at anything. When you look at their depth, they have you know two awesome backcourts in Devin Booker and Chris Paul. They have shooting, they have a defensive identity, they have a young star in DeAndre Ayton that anchors the defense and who’s everything you want in a center position. And then when you look at their bench Cameron Payne, Cam Johnson, Saric. They have a lot of depth,” he concluded.

Perkins isn’t the one to mince his words or be afraid to make hot takes. But this time, he’s got several valid points.

The Suns look like a much better team entering this series, not only from a health standpoint but from a coaching standpoint. They’re deep, inspired, and Monty Williams has been great at making adjustments.

But from that to betting your house, I don’t know. At the end of the day, it’s the Finals we’re talking about.
