Kevin Durant has always tried to surround himself with people that can help him not only on but off the court. The Brooklyn Nets superstar found the perfect partner in Rich Kleiman and they have done a lot of great things together. However, the biggest one might be their investment in Coinbase.

They have several ventures together and they don’t plan to stop there, especially seeing how well they have done. Recently, KD made the headlines not for attacking somebody from the media but for hitting the bank (again) with his investment in the cryptocurrency marketplace. They invested in the company when the valuation was $1.6 billion and now that investment increased its original value 61.5 times.

That is a huge win for KD, who keeps adding ventures to his portfolio, having very good results in recent times. The player is trying to lead the Brooklyn Nets to the NBA Finals alongside Kyrie Irving and James Harden but that hasn’t prevented him from making moves outside the court.

A lot of players have invested in these types of companies recently, especially NBA Top Shot, which saw big fishes like Michael Jordan or LeBron James investing some money. Well, KD did the same and his investment has really paid off.
