There is no question that Kevin Durant is one of the best players in basketball. Durant is widely viewed as the best scorer in the league, and his ability to create his shot against anyone has been lauded by many fans and players alike. 

As one of the best superstars in the league, it is clear that Kevin Durant is going to be paid well, and his base salary for the 2020-21 season was $39,058,950. Aside from his NBA contract, Kevin Durant has multiple business ventures and investments to supplement his income.

Kevin Durant will be participating in the Tokyo Olympics this year, alongside a host of other NBA players and prominent athletes. There are a lot of high-paid professional athletes at the Olympics. Kevin Durant is at the top of the list though, as Forbes has revealed that he is the highest-paid athlete at the Tokyo Olympics, with $75 million earned over the last year. (0:34)

Many of the highest-paid athletes at the Olympics are famous Olympians or professional athletes. Leading the list is NBA star Kevin Durant, who earned 75 million dollars over the past year.

With two Olympic gold medals under his belt, the Brooklyn Nets star has seen his investments off the court, rival his prolific play on the court. 

Durant has become the league’s latest media mogul, with the start of his media network Boardroom, a stake in MLS’s Philadelphia Union, and his own venture capital firm 35 Ventures.

Basketball players are some of the best-paid athletes in the world, and when you combine Kevin Durant’s status as a superstar with his off-court business ventures, it is easy to see how Kevin Durant brought in $75 million last year. Kevin Durant was part of the top 10 highest-paid athletes in the world as well, and it’s no surprise to see that he’s the top earner at the Olympics. Kevin Durant’s business savvy is at a high level, and that just shows that he is a man of many talents.
