Kevin Durant On Kyrie Irving: “He Is A Different Beast.”

2 Min Read

The Nets’ newest superstar duo have yet to play a single game together, but it seems they have already forged a pretty solid bond.

Earlier this week, Irving made very powerful comments about his teammate, admitting that Durant is the “only guy” he has ever trusted to make shots in late-game situations.

And now, Durant seems to be returning the favor.

“I’m excited to see him cross the sh*t out a big on a switch and post up these small guards in the league,” Kevin Durant told Dorell Wright on the Text Message Show for The Players’ Tribune about playing with Kyrie Irving.

“He’s a different beast.”

Without their starters, the Nets were bounced early in the 2020 postseason — but things will be different next year.

As KD and Irving return to full strength, they will only continue to get better and build up their chemistry. As two of the best scorers in the league, you can bet they’ll be a force to be reckoned with.

But perhaps the scariest thing of all is just how close they already are despite having never actually shared the court as teammates. It’s all love, respect, and positive vibes between them. Hopefully, that same energy will spread throughout the organization.

Only time will tell at this point.
