Brooklyn Nets superstar Kyrie Irving is yet to play even a single game for the team this season. But that’s about to change as the former NBA champion has been given permission to feature on the team in road games.

Moreover, with Irving out of the NBA health and safety protocols, it is only a matter of time before fans can see him hoop once again. Speaking of his return, Kyrie talked about it and revealed that he is nervous about playing basketball again.

While Irving might be a bit nervous, his teammates are certainly excited about his return. Kevin Durant recently unveiled his excitement for Kai’s return. Although KD hoped that this had happened at the start of the season, he is still happy with Irving’s addition to the team.

But not everyone is excited about Kyrie’s return it seems. It became evident after a reporter asked KD about the importance of Irving to the Nets. Durant gave an amazing answer, to which the reporter couldn’t say anything.

Have you watched him play? He’s a master. He can score 60 to 70% of his shots if you don’t guard him. He’s a high IQ player. It’s just a matter of him getting his legs up under him, his wind up under him. And for us you know, we’re going to run plays for him, we’re going to try to look for him. We play team basketball. He can adapt and do anything out there so we don’t worry about him.”

It is true that having one of the key players out for half of the games is not a great sight for any team, but it’s better than having him not play even a single game.

Like Kendrick Perkins recently explained, a part-time Kyrie Irving is better than no Kyrie Irving for the Nets.

Come playoff time, they can use all the help they can find, considering the competition in the Eastern Conference. With the Nets being in a comfortable position right now, it will allow them to take some time making strategies about how to adjust to Kyrie Irving coming back to the roster.
