Kevin Durant is one of the greatest players of all time, and there is no doubt that he will retire as one of the best scorers to ever play the game of basketball. However, despite his talent and skill, there are still many fans and analysts who criticize Kevin Durant.
Charles Barkley once stated that Kevin Durant has to win a championship “as a bus driver” to get the “great respect” from older players. It is clear that some people don’t respect what Kevin Durant was able to do as part of the Golden State Warriors, and there have even been suggestions that Kevin Durant needs to “save” his legacy.
Before KD gets that great respect from the old heads, he still has to win a championship as a bus driver. He joined a team that already won a championship. No disrespect, that’s just a fact. Until he is “the guy” on a championship team, we’re not gonna ever him the respect that he probably deserves.
Kevin Durant has recently taken to Twitter to troll the people constantly talking about his legacy. He reversed the question, asking fans if they “added to their legacy today”, and asked them what they did to add to their legacy. He also responded to some funny answers, and it is clear that Kevin Durant was in a joking mood. A lot of NBA fans also commented on the original post, and some of the things said were absolutely hilarious.
Did u add to your legacy today? If so, what did u do?

Great leadership Maggie. U made everybody in the house better today which adds to your legacy. https://t.co/KiSFCGi92c

That’s not enough. Legacy points deducted https://t.co/G9TwPuyDIb

The consistent criticism of Kevin Durant’s legacy is very unfortunate, as he is a top-tier small forward that has shown he has the ability to create his own shot against anyone. Draymond Green has previously claimed that the Warriors needed Kevin Durant to beat LeBron James and the Cavaliers after 2016, and it is clear that the Warriors value what he did for the franchise.
Hopefully, we see Kevin Durant get more respect in the future. He still has time to add to his resume before he retires, and perhaps we’ll see Kevin Durant win more championships while shutting up the haters in the process.
