The Cleveland Cavaliers registered their second victory of the season behind a strong performance by Kevin Love off the bench. Despite both teams being held under 100 points, the Cavs won by a margin of 12 points. As for Love, he scored a solid 22 points in just 21 minutes to help his team win the game.

Although Love had a great game, another thing caught the eyes of most NBA fans during the game. During the third quarter of the game, Cavs’ Ricky Rubio and Denver Nuggets’ Facundo Campazzo got into a heated scuffle.

Both players have played against one another on the national level and Rubio’s side came out victorious both times. So there is quite a chance that there was bad blood between them. It certainly looked like it by Campazzo’s actions.

Rubio tried to fake a three past Campazzo and in all honestly caught him with the pump fake. Frustrated by falling victim to the move, Facundo bumped into Rubio’s knee. This led to a nose-to-nose confrontation between the two players.

Kevin Love, who saw the incident firsthand, reacted to it. According to Cavs reporter Chris Fedor, Love said:

“That was funny, that would’ve been one of the worst fights I’ve ever seen in my life

As Love mentioned, the fight could have taken an ugly turn, fortunately, other players and officials broke up the fight before things got worse. Well, at least the commentators enjoyed the “fight.” Considering Rubio’s side won the game, it must have further stung Campazzo.

Now, let’s shift our focus towards the game and Love’s performance. Over the last few years, the former NBA champion has been victim to numerous injuries, which have honestly derailed his career.

He was once considered one of the most lethal forwards in the league but now has become a role player for the team. Well, despite losing his starting spot in the game against Nuggets, he proved his worth to the coaches.

If he can continue putting up such numbers, he might get a surge in minutes as the season progresses. But it could end up being a double-edged sword since K-Love is incredibly injury-prone.
