Kevin Love started seeing minutes in Miami, brought his career back to life, and now is ready to join a different team in the NBA.

While many would think he’d stay with the Heat, the big man is ready to test the waters of free agency this year. According to Matt Moore of Action Network, Love is interested in joining the Los Angeles Lakers or Phoenix Suns this summer.

“Two names that have surfaced in recent days connected to the Lakers are Cam Reddish and Miami Heat forward, Kevin Love. Love is weighing several options on where to continue his career next season after being bought out and proving to be a key part of Miami’s Finals run. But the Lakers are considered one team, along with the Suns, to be on Love’s list, which is expected to continue to grow before he eventually signs.”

Free agency is here, and we’re set to see a lot of movements around the league. The Lakers and Suns, even with their financial limitations, remain attractive destinations for plenty of players around the league. Despite interest from the Milwaukee Bucks, Love is focused on these two teams.

The Lakers waived Mo Bamba on Thursday and didn’t pick Malik Beasley’s team option. They’re still trying to get that third start to team up with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, and they’re meeting with Kyrie Irving today.

The Suns have four max players on the roster, and Love will want to get a juicy contract to join them. It’s unclear how they would make this work, but the Suns could use the veteran sharpshooter next season. They’ve been linked with Kyrie Irving too, which makes this situation more complex.

Kevin Love Just Finished A Season With The Miami Heat

Love shouldn’t miss suitors this offseason, as the player was a very good player for the Heat, helping them upset rival after rival until they landed in the NBA Finals. Unfortunately, they couldn’t beat the Denver Nuggets, missing another chance to win the NBA championship.

Love played 21 games for the Heat, posting 7.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game.
