Klay Thompson isn’t done with Ronnie 2K, and he hasn’t forgotten about his 3-point rating on the 2023 edition of the NBA 2K video game. Coming off a season where he helped the Golden State Warriors win the 2022 NBA championship, Klay and others thought that he would get some love from the developers of the game, only to find out that they gave him a 88 3-point rating, way below his teammate Stephen Curry’s 99.
A couple of weeks ago, Klay showed his unhappiness with the rating, asking the people behind the game to show some respect after everything he’s done for the game and the fact that he didn’t lose a step from behind the three-point line.
Ronnie 2K replied to that, calling out Klay for saying he didn’t play the game for a long time, even claiming that the shooting guard plays it a lot.
“I think it’s a badge of honor for those guys. Something they definitely talk about in the locker room,” Singh said. “Even though Klay said that he hadn’t played NBA2K since the Dreamcast, the fact that he cares about his rating so much, I know that that’s not true. I can see his gamer tag, he plays it just plenty. But I also think him in specific, he was really upset about an 88 three-point rating.”
One would think this was the end of it, but Klay is still salty about it and recently demanded Ronnie 2K to change his 3-point rating again.
Klay Thompson Sends Another Message To Ronnie 2K
The Golden State Warriors are currently in Japan, bringing joy to fans in the Asian country. One day after the tip-off of the 2022 NBA pre-season, the Dubs partook in a 3-point contest. Klay and Stephen Curry won it, and Thompson had a curious way to celebrate the victory.

When he got the mic, Thompson said a couple of words before remembering Ronnie 2K and demanding the man to give him a better rating.

“I might not jump like he jumps [while signaling to the bench], but I’ve never lost a strap. Ronnie 2K, change my 3-point rating right now. Right now, f***ing hater,” Klay said while Stephen Curry, the interviewer, and the crowd laughed.
Ronnie once again reacted to these words, sharing a tweet that implies Klay can’t stop thinking about him. When he did that, though, Draymond Green was ready to fire back, telling him to stop acting like the ‘old media’.

Ronnie, you promote a video game sir. Stop acting like the old media. https://t.co/gCMjQKVdSi

If Klay needed any motivation this season, he just found one. The Warriors are always ready to prove doubters wrong, and Thompson is one of the biggest examples of that. The Splash Brother is ready to show what he can do with a full offseason under his belt and show the world, and the people behind 2K23, that they are very wrong.
