Klay Thompson is currently feeling exactly how people would expect him to feel. Having come back from multiple devastating injuries that cost him 2 NBA seasons, Thompson returned to help the Golden State Warriors win their 4th championship in 8 seasons. And he had an excellent time at the parade as well, fans were loving his antics during the celebration.

And while that is a lot to be thankful for, Klay is at a point where he even appreciates the little things. The Warriors star shared an Instagram story of himself during one of his offseason workouts. Klay is seemingly grateful just for the opportunity to have the whole summer to work on his game, something he has been denied since 2019.

Klay suffered a devastating ACL injury in the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors in 2019, but still got a massive contract from the Golden State Warriors. He was expected to return better than ever for the 2020-2021 season, but in the lead-up to the campaign, tore his Achilles. Both injuries could have been potentially career-ending, but he recovered in time to help the Warriors win the championship in 2021-22.

Klay’s return to the court may have led to team success, but it was clear that he struggled to get back to his best individually. The lack of time to work on his game must have been a huge factor in that. This explains why Thompson is so grateful to be able to work out at the moment, it will surely help him get back into his groove.

The Warriors are defending champions once again, which means that teams will be out to get them next season. Having a fit and firing Klay will do wonders for the team in dealing with that; they will be among the favorites once again. And fans will be excited too. There are few players as thrilling as Klay Thompson when he goes on a tear.
