Klay Thompson Roasts Draymond Green After He Said He Would Beat Klay And Steph In 3-Point Shooting Contest

Klay Thompson didn't hold back on trolling Draymond Green and his shooting skills from beyond the arc.

Klay Thompson and Draymond Green may be key in the Golden State Warriors core, but that didn’t stop the shooter from cooking his teammate on the golf course during Capital One’s The Match.

Also in attendance were two-time Super Bowl champions Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, and the former asked the NBA stars about a three-point contest.

“This man almost lost to Kevin Hart,” Klay roasted the veteran forward when he answered he could beat the Splash Brothers.

To refresh your memory, Green took on renowned comedian and actor Kevin Hart in a three-point shootout during the 2016 NBA All-Star Weekend. Most favored Green to win, but Hart came inches close when he knocked down 11 shots to Green’s 12. The forward received a trophy, while Hart was presented with a ribbon for the event. On a side note, Green has drained 31.4% of threes in his career.

The event comes ahead of the much-awaited 2023 Free Agency, where Green’s future will be decided. And it’s honestly a refreshing change to see action in a different sporting arena for these players who have been in the headlines constantly.

Chris Paul Wants Draymond Green Back With The Golden State Warriors

Newly-minted Warrior Chris Paul didn’t mince his words when he said he wanted Draymond Green back with the team.

The 34-year-old veteran point guard said he ‘absolutely’ wants Green back on the team when asked by TMZ Sports at Fanatics’ “Merch Madness” event.

The duo might have had their differences, but in what comes as a sign of moving on, the Warriors players will now deal with a new member in the side and hope that they can restore their title run. Green declined his $27.5 million player option with Golden State earlier this month, but there have been reports milling that the team wants to re-sign him.

For now, the roster is primed with experience, and all the Warriors trio know what they have in Paul to help them land another title. But it remains to be seen if they can indeed achieve that objective because this is far from a rebuild.
