Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets are getting ready to face the rest of the 2021/22 NBA season. The point guard has received big news recently, as the New York City major is planning on eliminating the vaccine mandates, which would allow Kyrie to play home games.

The Nets had allowed him to be a part-time player, but these recent developments could mean he’ll be back at Barclays Center sooner than later. Just when people believed he would miss crucial games for the Nets in the playoffs, things are starting to look better for Kyrie.

Before the major announced his plans to change the mandates, Kyrie was already sending a warning to the rest of the league. While playing NBA 2K, the 2016 NBA champion sent a clear message, saying the Nets are going to prove everybody wrong.

“Just watch how our squad comes out of this All-Star Break.”

This is a big statement from Kyrie, more so knowing that the Nets brought several players to help them compete for the 2022 NBA championship. They swapped James Harden for Ben Simmons before the trade deadline, bringing Seth Curry and Andre Drummond in the process.

Even though they have struggled in recent weeks, the Nets still look like a dangerous team and nobody should sleep on them. The East has big teams like the Bulls, Heat, Sixers and Bucks, but this squad is still seen as a big favorite to win it all this season.

Simmons was already a great addition. Add Kyrie to the mix and you have a terrific squad to face the rest of the regular season and the playoffs.
