Kyrie Irving is keeping himself updated with the happenings across the world, and he took to Twitter to share his thoughts on a recent piece of news that’s doing the rounds.

The Dallas Mavericks guard directed his tweet toward Fugees rapper, Pras Michael who recently admitted that he was an FBI informant.

“A whole FBI informant was in the Fugees for that long??” Irving wrote. “Got me Wondering how many more informants are in Entertainment/Media/Politics silently destroying revolutionary movements from the inside. No matter what I gotta stay Poised and Aware of who I am around. Hélà”

Not the one to shy away from expressing his thoughts, Irving’s tweet showed confusion and shock, while also urging his followers to stay alert around the people they were surrounded by.

For those unaware, Rolling Stone published a report on April 18, where Pras took the stand in his own federal conspiracy trial. The rapper admitted that he met with FBI agents on multiple occasions regarding China’s plans to extradite a renowned dissident.

And Irving placed his two cents on the issue saying he was worried about more of these hidden in plain sight informants. Pretty much food for thought.

Kyrie Irving To The Los Angeles Lakers?

While Irving might be taking some time off basketball to catch up with the news around the world, the NBA rumor mills have been churning over time.

Recent reports suggested that the Mavericks guard would actually sign with the Los Angeles Lakers in the offseason, amid the chatter of Dallas keen to re-sign Irving with them.

“They’ve got to look at this as, OK, how many years does LeBron have and how many years can they actually keep Anthony Davis engaged?” A GM told Heavy

“Because AD ain’t got any great love for this game. So their window is a short one. Do they go after the superteam piece and figure out how to bring Kyrie in there? You know damn well Kyrie is not coming in for a discount.”

The source further added: “So do you stay the course and stick with D-Lo (Russell) and Rui and all of that group and say, ‘OK, let’s play with the two stars and try and have some reasonable depth’? I predict that they’ll try to figure out a way to pay Kyrie Irving and bring him in.”

For now, much of this can be tabled under speculation, considering the season is still on. And Irving has been a force for the Mavericks, despite their campaign ending as a damp squib.

Only time will tell if the point guard will find a new base in the summer.
