The Los Angeles Lakers had a dream Game 6 to close out their first-round series win against the Memphis Grizzlies. They blew their opponents out by 40 points, dominating the whole game and not giving Memphis a chance to sniff a Game 7.

This was a big win for the Los Angeles Lakers, as there were questions about whether they could win in the playoffs even if they got there. And the Grizzlies players antagonized them a bit during the series as well. So it’s no surprise that the celebrations after the win involved a little trolling.

‘Whoop That Trick’ is a song the Grizzlies played after wins, and it became a talking point in the playoffs last season. During a hard-fought series against the Golden State Warriors, the Grizzlies arena played the song and fans danced to it, with Draymond Green dancing along ironically. Stephen Curry also jokingly referenced it during the series when asked about the Warriors’ plan to beat them.

The Memphis Grizzlies have feuds across the league, many feel like they talk more than they should. The young team has a lot of talent on their roster, but they haven’t even been to a Conference Finals yet. So it’s no surprise that the Lakers resorted to using this chant to troll them a little after the game.

Lakers Completely Shut The Grizzlies Up With Their 40-Point Win

Few things are as embarrassing as getting blown out in an elimination game, just ask the Phoenix Suns. And that’s exactly what happened to the Memphis Grizzlies, getting beaten by 40 points on Friday night. That is an unfortunate number considering what Dillon Brooks had to say about not respecting LeBron James earlier in the series too.

Brooks did a lot of chirping, calling LeBron James old, and he wasn’t the only one, with Desmond Bane saying the Grizzlies would force Game 7. That is too much talking and unsurprisingly, none of them had too much to say after the devastating loss.

Dillon Brooks got trolled for leaving the locker room before the media could get in there, and not many fans have too much sympathy for the Grizzlies at the moment. Based on their chanting, it doesn’t seem like the Lakers do either.
