The Los Angeles Lakers have been an inconsistent team this year, partly due to the fact that they have dealt with a lot of injury issues. LeBron James was out for an extended period earlier in the year, while Anthony Davis has been sidelined with a knee injury until the recent Lakers-Nets game.

Upon Anthony Davis’ return though, the Los Angeles Lakers ended up winning the game against the Brooklyn Nets 106-96. The Nets were without Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, but nonetheless, a win is a win. LeBron James ended the game with 33 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists, and the Lakers also got 22 points from Malik Monk, who came off the bench.

Lakers fans were certainly happy to see the team win, and many reacted to the game. The Los Angeles Lakers have won 2 of their last 3 games, and hopefully, Anthony Davis can help them start winning even more.

There is no doubt that the Los Angeles Lakers desperately needed Anthony Davis back to shore up their defense and provide some rim protection. Even though he was on a minutes restriction, Anthony Davis did end up tallying 4 blocks and a steal by the end of the game. Anthony Davis is one of the best defensive bigs in the league, and he’s crucial to the Lakers’ title aspirations.

We will see if the Los Angeles Lakers will be able to become the championship contender many envisioned. There have been a lot of suggestions that the Los Angeles Lakers might make a trade at or prior to the deadline, and they’ve been linked with high-profile names such as Ben Simmons and Jerami Grant. With that being said, the Los Angeles Lakers don’t have a lot of assets to get a big-time player, so it’s unclear if they will be able to trade for either player. Trade or not, hopefully, the Los Angeles Lakers will end up trending upwards for the rest of the season.
